Welcome back, loves, to the Brave Table!
Today, I’m interviewed by Vasavi Kumar on her podcast, Say it Out Loud! This is a replay of that episode and in it, we dive deep. I share about my 2nd ‘dark night of the soul’ which came once I began motherhood in the forms of postpartum depression and rage. We break open the interesting duality of how rage can coexist with slivers of joy.
I break open how I felt frustrated and angry after giving birth due to the limitations on my physical movement. I had put a lot of my value in being able to contribute and give to others, so being unable to do so after giving birth caused a lot of rage to swell up. Join Vasavi and I as we navigate embracing the joy and chaos of motherhood!
In today’s episode, we talk about:
- Postpartum Depression, Rage, and Anxiety
- How Giving Your Rage a Voice Can Help You Heal
- Impact of Grief and Loss on Resilience
- Impact of Stress and Anxiety on New Mothers
- Four Parts to Your Bounce Factor
- How to Use Joy to Deal with Sucky Moments
- Different Stages of Grief and How to Cope
- Benefits of Letting Out a Good, Hard Laugh
